Usability
Mobile Web Design
With the recent growth in mobile phone technologies and the increasing usage and need for web access; it seems more people are now logging on via their mobile phones. Mobile phone providers are now looking at improving the user web browsing experience, with phones such as the iphone featuring “rich HTML client and safari – the most advanced web browser ever on a portable device” as stated by Apple . And with multi tasking facilities such as downloading email as well as browsing at the same time, it is enabling people to do more in less time.
So with this increase in mobile web usage, what are web designers and developers currently doing to help improve websites and meeting the needs of mobile phone users?
Cameron Moll has recognised the need for better mobile web design and has now published a new PDF book: Mobile Web Design, explaining his findings on the research he conducted on mobile web design.
